Arnold Clark is partnering with Moba, a specialist in advanced battery diagnostics technology, to offer comprehensive battery testing for battery electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles, as part of its service experience.

Scott Grant, Arnold Clark Group Aftersales Director, said: ‘We have been actively promoting the benefits of EVs for several years and now Arnold Clark can offer battery health certificates as a valuable new addition to its aftersales offering.

"As battery health checks are not routinely included in all manufacturer service programmes, we want to offer customers the option of an additional battery health assessment during scheduled servicing, providing reassurance on the condition of their BEV or PHEV batteries.

"As EV technology evolves, more data becomes available, Moba’s solution captures and presents that data in a way that adds real value for both our customers and our business.”

In 2024, Arnold Clark launched its own UK-wide ultra‑rapid electric vehicle charging network, which now has over 60 sites across the UK, offering ultra-rapid EV charging at an ultra‑low price.

After identifying a growing customer need for transparent battery health insights, the Arnold Clark team reviewed a range of solutions before selecting Moba for its ease of use, quick testing process, extensive model coverage, strong value and the support.
