Dyson set to make electric cars by 2020

Engineering firm Dyson is planning to spend £2 billion on developing an electric car.

According to the BBC, the battery-powered vehicle is due to be launched in 2020.

Around 400 members of staff have been working on the project for the past two years.

At the moment there is no prototype build and a factory is still yet to be chosen.

About £1 billion is expected t be spent on developing the car, with another £1 billion on making the battery.
