Shell to open EV-focused non-petrol station

News

Shell is planning to open a station which does not sell petrol or diesel, but has EV charging, hydrogen refuelling and biofuels.

According to Zap Map, the site will be the first to open in the UK and will be based in London.

Renewable energy will power the forecourt through using solar panels on the roof.

Already, Shell has a hydrogen refuelling site at Cobham services in the UK and the firm is committed to installing EV charge points on some of its forecourts in London and Derby by the end of 2017.
