News

The European Commission and 24 countries are targeting at least 30 per cent of new electric vehicle (EV) sales by 2030, Energy Live News has reported.

The Clean Energy Ministerial’s (CEM) ‘EV 30@30’ initiative aims to support the market for electric vehicles including cars, light commercial vans, buses and trucks, and work towards rolling out charging infrastructure to supply sufficient power.

In addition to this, the initiative will seek to expand research on increasing EV deployment, including topics such as policies, barriers to adoption, grid integration and load management.

Some of the 24 nations include Australia, Canada, China, France, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, UK and the US.
