Welsh Government to put £2m into charging infrastructure

The Welsh Government is planning to put £2 million towards the creation of a network of charging points around the country.

As reported by the Daily Post, local authorities are being asked to bid for some of the money as part of plans to discourage petrol and diesel vehicles.

This follows a 35 per cent increase in electric and hybrid car sales last year.

Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport Ken Skates said the money will be used to “develop a network of public electric charging points near our truck roads”.
