Tesla’s ‘summon’ autopilot feature now available to UK drivers

The ‘summon’ feature that comes as part of Tesla’s autopilot technology is now available for UK owners.

Tesla introduced the suite of autopilot features earlier this year, but legislation blocked the ‘summon’ feature from being available to UK drivers.

Now that the feature has been cleared for use in the UK, drivers can remotely bring their car to them using an app installed on their mobile phone, as long that the vehicle is on private land.

The summon feature was designed to improve convenience of the parking experience by providing access to narrow spaces that would otherwise be off limits, as well as allow drivers a direct line of sight to the danger zones around the car, as they do not have to be seated inside it.

Other updates also give the Model S the ability to open their garage door, drive inside and park by its self.
