Car sharing & ULEVs included in new CCS vehicle hire agreement

News

Car sharing and ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs) are included in the new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) vehicle hire agreement.

The agreement is expected to save over £19 million, providing government and public sector organisations access to a wide range of vehicles including ULEVs, 4x4s, minibuses and heavy goods vehicles.

The agreement also includes a new car sharing option, giving customers access to a shared fleet of vehicles, along with pay as you go models, which is expected to support a move away from the use of private vehicles.

12 suppliers are included in the new agreement, including six that are new to the vehicle hire agreement and two small to medium sized businesses.
