Almost 1,000 Renault Zoes recalled in UK

News

Almost half of all Renault Zoes sold worldwide have been recalled, including 999 sold in the UK, according to reports from Autocar.

The recall covers vehicles manufactured before 6 October 2014 and relates to the possible risk of the front wheel arch liner damaging the front brake hose.

A total of 42,300 Zoes have been built to date, with 18,150 being part of this recall.

A Renault spokesman said: “As a preventive measure, the Renault dealership will inspect the position of the front wheel arch liners. In the unlikely event of an incorrect position of the liner, the liner and brake hose could require replacement.

“The affected customers will receive a letter sent by recorded delivery inviting them to bring their vehicle to an Expert Renault Z.E. Network workshop. The maintenance work may take between a quarter of an hour, for a simple check, to four and a half hours, if parts need to be replaced. A courtesy car will be provided if parts need to be replaced.”
