PodPoint to work with Savills to roll out EV charging

PodPoint is set to be rolling out EV charging in areas managed by the global real estate services provider, Savills.

The two firms have teamed up to encourage electric vehicles and provide charging facilities at retail parks and shopping centres across the UK.

It is part of Savills’ strategy to “improve overall visitor experience at the out-of-town retail parks and shopping centres it manages”.

Nick Herward, head of property management at Savills, said: “We are always looking to improve the offer of the out of town shopping centres and retail parks we manage on behalf of our clients to improve the overall experience for customers.

“Encouraging sustainable practices is part of this. As we adapt to new technologies, it’s important we cater for the emerging EV driver market and working with POD Point will allow us to do this.”
