Ascott Cab Company, London’s largest independent taxi garage, has been appointed as LEVC’s first full dealer for the new TX.

The business is the first independent retailer to make the move to selling range-extended electric taxis in London.

This repair centre and retailer was started in South London in 1980 by Mickey Ascott – and it changed its name to Ascott Cab Company in 1991.

It is now the largest taxi service business in South London and employs over 70 people.

Ascott Cab Company has invested time and effort into making the transition to electric vehicles.

A new showroom area has been constructed to display the TX and extended test drives can now be booked.

In addition, two master technicians have undergone extensive training on the new electric vehicle and other members of the team will join the training programme shortly.

Andy Ascott from Ascott Cab Company said: “We are delighted to have been appointed as the first independent UK dealer for the TX, and we are pleased to have our first demonstrator in our new showroom area. We have already started offering extended test drives in the cab and the feedback has been extremely positive so far.”
