Peugeot to launch electric scooter

Peugeot has teamed up with Micro to develop an electrically assisted scooter, as part of the company’s focus on urban mobility.

The e-Kick scooter is designed to ‘meet the challenge of a constantly evolving urban environment’ by helping to provide a fully independent solution to cover the ‘last mile’ of a journey.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery built into its platform, the e-Kick will be capable of covering a potential 7.5 miles at speeds of up to 15mph. It also features a regenerative breaking system that recharges the battery.

Cathal Loughnane, Peugeot Design Lab Manager, said: “e-Kick is a truly multi-modal designed not just to be a mobility solution in itself but also to link all the other solutions together. The two handles used in driving mode fold up into a single handle that allows the scooter to be rolled along on one wheel, making it effortless to hop from your home to your car to a train to your work.”
