Northgate Vehicle Hire adds 25 electric vans to fleet

Northgate Vehicle Hire has extended its electric offering a fleet of 25 Nissan ENV200 Accenta vans.

The new fleet joins the company’s existing electric vehicle (EV) line-up, which includes a range of full-electric and 24 hybrid vehicles.

The pure-electric Nissan ENV200 Accenta vans feature a 40kWh battery delivering up to an additional 60 per cent of range and the rear cargo space offers great versatility to install racking as required. As the van produces zero emissions while driving, it is an ideal choice for any business operating in London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

Tim Bailey, Fleet Director at Northgate Vehicle Hire says “We have long provided our customer with bespoke specific electric vehicles to support specific needs or projects. We are delighted to be increasing our fleet of electric vans available on the general rental fleet for a wider range of customers to experience. Our customers are coming under increasing pressure to adopt more environmentally-friendly vehicles and electric vans are often the best choice. They are especially relevant to last mile delivery companies who don’t need to cover large distances but need to operate within city centres.”

“By making the switch to vehicle hire, businesses can add less-polluting vans and EVs to their fleets immediately without the substantial financial outlays. We also offer to buy our customers’ old vans and rent them newer models, so that they can reduce their environmental footprint and invest the freed-up capital in business growth.”

For businesses affected by London’s ULEZ who are eligible for the Transport for London scrappage scheme, Northgate also offers a discount on 12months+ van hires.
