Renault has delivered the first Fluence ZE saloons to London eco-conscious car services greentomatocars and Climatecars.

The Fluence will be London's first 100 per cent electric private hire car with a range of up to 115 miles on a single charge.  Each company is receiving two of the five-seat all-electric saloons in metallic silver. All four Fluence's will be based in Central London.

Managing Director of greentomatocars Jonny Goldstone, commented: "We're delighted to have taken delivery of our first fully Electric Vehicles and have already taken bookings for 40% of our EV capacity with orders from corporate customers for Zero Emission shuttle services. We fully intend to add more Zero Emission vehicles to our 250-strong fleet this year."

Nicko Williamson, MD of Climatecars said: "The addition of the fully electric Renault Fluence ZE to Climatecars fleet marks a crucial step towards our aim of being the world's first zero emission car service. Climatecars electric vehicle fleet will be operating in Central London and will be priced at the same level as our normal hybrid fleet".

The Fluence ZE is the second of Renault's four-strong Z.E. electric vehicles to reach the market. The ZOE and Twizy models are set to grace British streets later in the year.
