Zap-Map launches new charge point navigation app in the Republic of Ireland

News

Zap-Map has launched its latest app in the Republic of Ireland, which will allow electric car drivers to locate and navigate to charge points.

They will also be able to see if a charge point is being used or not.

Dynamic data comes from ESB, which provides an extensive network of over 1,200 charge points across the island of Ireland; these will be dynamically updated on Zap-Map to display an up to date status for electric car drivers.

The app also features Zap-Chat, which will let registered users update a charge point’s status, post comments and provide last-mile information.

Melanie Shufflebotham, director at Zap-Map said: “We are delighted to extend the coverage of Zap-Map to the Republic of Ireland with live network updates from ESB, and hope that this will help accelerate the uptake of EVs across the country.”
