Brake publishes guidance on managing young at-work drivers

Road safety charity Brake has published a guidance report for fleet managers and HR professionals to help them manage employees aged 17-24 who drive for work.

Developed with Fleetmaster, ‘Managing young at-work drivers’ outlines the main reasons why young drivers are at higher risk of being involved in a crash and recommends measures that organisations can put in place to reduce that risk. Practical advice on how companies can strive to eliminate road risk for their young employees is presented through best practice guidance alongside an industry case study.

In addition, advice laid out in the report focuses on why implementing key measures such as training in basic vehicle maintenance and monitoring of driver behaviour is crucial in every organisation.
